Chateau Terre Forte 'Rouge' 2021

Located in the Southern Rhône just west of Avignon, Château Terre Forte are making wines with great care for the environment working both organically and biodynamically. ROUGE! is a blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre & Syrah, with bright red & blackberry fruits on the nose with some subtle floral, herbal & licorice notes that are characteristic of the local terroir. It's light to medium bodied with fresh acidity and a little bit of tannic grip. Fun and fruity, this wine can hold a bit of a chill, is great with a variety of food and can sit in the cellar 5-6 years.

Château Terre Forte brought in three adult llama to clear scrub. They are hardy animals, adapt to different climates and are great scrubbers. They don't eat bark like goats and feed on a greater variety of plants. In 2021, two Crias (the llama's baby) were born, Caréna and Cédoine and they nicely round out the team of brush cutters!
