The Gismondi family has been farming grapes, veggies, and olives north of Naples for generations, but the tiny quantity of wine they made was kept for in-house consumption. Finally in 2019, they began releasing wines to the public, including a small amount of this natural, skin-contact or orange Malvasia. It has floral and citrus flavors that jump out of the glass, as well as saltiness that’ll remind you it’s made a short trip from the coast. Tastes like: Apricot, chamomile, pineapple, and salt. How to drink: Chilled with sushi or grilled fish, or alongside tricky-to-pair veggies like broccoli rabe.
